NIH Clinical Center – It’s the People

The NIH Clinical Center, America's research hospital, is often called a "house of hope." It's where the day's mission is to search for tomorrow's cures. It's where the first cure of a solid tumor with chemotherapy was discovered. The Clinical Center is also where AZT was first used to treat patients with AIDS. The Clinical Center has been the location of many amazing medical discoveries...And that's why it has earned the Lasker-Bloomberg Public Service Award. But what really makes this place award-winning are the people. We could not do it without our diverse health care team, staff, patients, and families. clinicalcenter.nih.gov

Deteriorating housing contributes to asthma-related illness.
