Catheter Ablation
Catheter ablation is a procedure that uses energy to make small scars in your heart tissue to prevent abnormal electrical signals from moving through your heart. Radiofrequency (RF) ablation uses high-energy, locally delivered RF signals to make the scars. Cryoablation uses extremely cold temperatures to make the scars. Sometimes, laser light energy is used.
