Global Health - Guatemala
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) formally established the Central America Regional Office (CDC-CAR) in Guatemala City in October 2005. It grew out of a field station created by CDC’s Division of Parasitic Diseases in El Salvador in the 1960s that was transferred to Guatemala in 1978.
