Se debe considerar una posible enfermedad aguda por el virus del Zika en un bebé o niño <{[#0]} años que {[#1]}) haya viajado a un área con transmisión actual del virus del Zika o que haya vivido en ella en las últimas {[#2]} semanas y {[#3]}) que tenga ?{[#4]} de las siguientes manifestaciones: fiebre, sarpullido, conjuntivitis o artralgia. Debido a que el virus del Zika se puede transmitir de la madre al bebé durante el parto, también se debe considerar una posible enfermedad aguda por el virus del Zika en un bebé durante sus primeras {[#5]} semanas de vida si {[#6]}) la madre viajó a un área afectada o vivió en ella en algún momento durante las {[#7]} semanas antes del parto y {[#8]}) que tenga ?{[#9]} de las siguientes manifestaciones: fiebre, sarpullido, conjuntivitis o artralgia. Los proveedores de atención médica deben notificar a su departamento de salud local, estatal o territorial para que se hagan las pruebas. Como enfermedad arboviral, la enfermedad por el virus del Zika es una afección de notificación obligatoria a nivel nacional. Provisto por los Centros para el Control y la Prevención de Enfermedades de los EE. UU.
